The Secret of Salma Hayek's Glowing Skin

Ever wondered about the secret behind sultry actress Salma Hayek's glowing skin?

 Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek's Beauty Secret - Juice Cleansing Diet

Well, the answer, surprisingly, is a juice cleansing diet, which Hayek, 43 has been following religiously since 15 years.

This detox diet program of around 5 days suggests eating raw-food, low-cal fruit juices such as water-melon, cucumber, lime etc. along with almond milk and strictly recommends eliminating processed foods, caffeinated drinks, alcohol, dairy products and sushi. All this, supposedly, adds up to less than 1200 calories a day.

"If I've been indulging in rich foods, a cleanse is a wonderful way to hit the reset button. I always lose weight and my skin glows when I finish day three. And it inspires me to think about what I put in my body" says Hayek.

Several times in the last few months, women I’ve known for years have commented that I look 20 years younger and ask what is my secret. My secret is to stop using any commercial “beauty” products, eat a diet rich in leafy greens (at least 2 lbs. a day), and make my own cleansing products. I use baking soda, yarrow and rosemary infusion, apple cider vinegar, and coconut oil on my hair. I wash with homemade soap and deodorize with homemade deodorant. At first I was oily and smelly. After a short time, everything calmed down. My hair is even getting less gray!

I’m also making some fantastic house cleaning products with essential oils, baking soda, herbal infusions, and apple cider vinegar. I can’t believe how rewarding it is to take my money out of the pockets of big corporations. I’m not against capitalism but want to hold onto my assets.

tomato soup and potato soup and it was great... just boil potatoes and make mashed potatoes but leave some of the water in so it is watered down a bit... add butter and it's really good :)
2 weeks sounds like a LONG time though. I was on it for about 4 days before i started having more solid food and i had all 4 out at the same time.

Body cleansing does not make you lose weight, just water buildup. You still have to follow a strict diet and plenty of exercise to lose weight.
If you want alittle jump start try cutting out carbs and sugar foods and you'll see the difference in a week or two.

Fasting too long or too often will screw up your metabolism.... slow it down & make it easier for you to gain weight. (Body goes into "starvation mode")

7 days probably won't cause any problems, but 4-5 days should be perfectly effective. Be sure to drink a variety of juices, preferably organic, w/ no added sugar or any other additives.

Be sure to reintroduce solid food GRADUALLY. And (I consider this part very important) try eating only healthy, whole, natural foods (otherwise your health complaints will likely just return).
Whole wheat/ grain products, no processed food, lots of fresh fruit & veg, etc. Try avoiding dairy for a week or so to see how your body reacts. Some people don't do well eating dairy.

I suggest Wheat Grass. It tastes kind of gross, but if you pop a slice of lemon in your mouth afterward, it's not so bad. You will be laxed a little, so don't be surprised if you go to the bathroom more than usual.

I also suggest that you try to eat five small meals per day rather than three large. Eat as soon as you wake up and eat lightly in the evening. Your metabolism will slow down if you go long durations without eating. You can also detox your system by going on a fruit fast. This means buy lots of fruit and having the discipline to not eat ANY of it! You have to get a juicer and make juice with all of the fruit that you buy. You CAN NOT eat anything at all while you do this or it will defeat the purpose. Go on a fruit fast for one week and see how you feel, but I suggest you do it later on down the road when you've already gotten more comfortable with your diet.

This workout is great because it requires no equipment, except maybe a towel to lie on while you exercise. Stretch before and after you workout. Stretching prevents injury and plus, it's sexy if a woman's flexible Also DO NOT bounce while you stretch!

ust do some exercises. I would recommend cardio workouts such as swimming, running, and/or jump roping.
Do those for 1 hour a day and cut out all soda and fried food from your diet and within 2 months you should be losing a fair amount of weight.
Now when i say fair amount i dont mean like 30 pounds the amount of weight you lose depends on your metabolism and how hard you exercise.
Also try to not make excuses for doing exercises as once you skip your exercises then you will find it easier to skip and skip again.

If you have dandruff..use lemon on ur scalp.
Not only will it smell zesty and great but it helps to dry out the dandruff and itchyness.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well. Investigators from the Women's Health Study have reported important new findings demonstrating that aspirin reduces the risk of a first stroke in women. When given to someone immediately after a heart attack, aspirin decreases death by 25%.

Lemon as a beauty aid

The diminutive lemon is a very versatile beauty-aid and this cheap and golden-coloured fruit has excellent properties for enhancing your looks. Simple lemon-based preparations, you can mix in your own kitchen, will surely bring a dramatic transformation in your beauty regimen.

Aloevera, the wonder herb

Of all the herbs available in the kitchen garden, aloe is perhaps the richest in healing properties and has been rightly named the “first-aid” plant. It has moisturizing and emollient properties and is used in cosmetic creams, sun-lotions, shaving creams and face packs. It can easily be cultivated as a house-plant in a sunny warm spot with good drainage. Cosmetologists mix aloe with several other herbs and draft fancy names for it. Then these “herbal” avatars are sold at exorbitant prices. Growing a plant and using fresh gel is much more effective than bottled gel, simply because it is alive and therefore is more potent. It is the only plant whose extract is applied directly from plant to face in its natural and purest form.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
