Wheat magic

Wheat is an excellent source of iron and phosphorous. The outer layer of the barn provides fiber which gives bulk and regulates the absorption and excretion of nutrients from the body. The germ contains riboflavin, thiamine, vitamin E and trace minerals such as zinc, copper, iron and magnesium. Wheat is the best nourishing food which can be easily given to patients and even babies.

Here are some ways in which we can use wheat to treat some common ailments:

Wheat for treating boils:Boils having pus can be easily treated at home without the help of a surgeon’s knife. Pound a little Alse(you can get it at a shop) to a fine powder. Take a tbsp of wheat flour and fry it in a little oil to a golden color. Add ground Alsi along with tbsp of water. Keep on stirring until the mixture turns thick. Remove from fire and place it in a clean strip of cloth. When the mixture turns bearably hot spread it over the cloth and bandage it around the boil. Within a day of two the boil will burst giving instant relief. Clean the boil with warm water to which a little boric has been added and then apply sulphur ointment and bandage. Clean the wound and apply the ointment daily till the wound heals.

Wheat for treating scars:To remove scars roast wheat on fire till it turns black. Grind to paste. Put in a thin cloth and squeeze out the oil. Apply on the scars regularly for relief. Even itching disappears with this oil.

Wheat for curing chest painMix together wheat, barn and coarse salt in equal quantities, heat the mixture, put in a clean cloth and foment the chest for relief.

Wheat for tonsils painPrepare a halwa with wheat flour and water, put in a cloth and foment the tonsils with it to get relief from pain.

Wheat for treating acne or pimplesMake a fine paste of whole wheat. Apply this paste on pimples. Keep for 1 hour. Then wash off. Do this regularly.

Wheat grass juice is the extracted juice from young (5 - 10 inch) wheat plants. The juice is touted for many health benefits due to its high concentrations of Chlorophyll, enzymes, vitamins (especially B's) and minerals. Another benefit of drinking wheat grass juice is a significant energy buzz, due to the very high concentrations of B vitamins, that lasts several hours.

A typical portion is two fluid ounces, requiring the juicing of 1/3 to 1 square foot of wheat grass. The juice has a pungent, sweet odor/taste which is an acquired taste. It may be drunk straight, or mixed with other juices, such as carrot or apple.
Wheatgrass juice should always be consumed immediately after juicing.

Highly Effective Indian Home remedies For Delayed Periods

Delayed periods or Irregular menstrual periods have become very common these days for a lot of women in their reproductive age and they suffer great agonies when their period does not come on time. A delay of 4-5 days may be fine but if it exceeds 8 days, then it's certainly a cause for concern. In this post, I'll be sharing highly effective Indian home remedies for your delayed periods . I'd been a long sufferer of irregular periods during my teenage to early twenties. I've tried most of the recipes here, along with Kapalabhati pranayama, yoga poses, mudras and other lifestyle habits. Now my periods are extremely regular like clockwork; not a day less or more than 28. When I look back, I'm surprised how I managed those years of anxiety and fear about my late periods.

The ache of acne (pimples)

Acne is often the bane of a pretty face. It is painful more emotionally than physically, for the scar that it leaves behind can last for a lifetime, adding to one’s miserable look & feeling. No doubt many expensive skin care clinics have mushroomed in ever nook & corner, offering to clear all the scars & blemishes on the face, but they are very expensive & charge exorbitant price for each sitting; not everyone can afford them. So why not try out this simple skin care regimen to minimize the damage caused by acne & as far as possible prevent its eruption.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well. Investigators from the Women's Health Study have reported important new findings demonstrating that aspirin reduces the risk of a first stroke in women. When given to someone immediately after a heart attack, aspirin decreases death by 25%.
