A simple home-remedy for sunburn

This simple home-remedy for sunburn happens to be a bit messy, but it is extremely effective. Not only does it lighten your sun burnt skin, but also sweeps off dirty, dead skin cells, thus exfoliating your skin.sunburn

Ingredients:

2 tsp. Vegetable oil
5 tsp. Besan (gram-flour)
a few drops of rose water
a few drops of glycerin

Method:

Before getting ready for your bath, add 2 spoonfuls of any ordinary cooking oil to 5 tsp of besan. Add a few drops of rose-water (gulab-jal) and glycerin and whisk all the ingredients well to form a smooth paste. Apply this paste, on your face, hands, and wherever your skin is sun burnt. Leave it for about 3 minutes, and then gently wetting your hands, begin to scrub off the paste. The effect of this paste begins to show almost immediately.

You could also try applying vinegar for sunburn. Another effective remedy is the use of tomato juice and butter-milk. Check it out here. Applying a slice of papaya or fresh aloe-vera gel all over your skin without rubbing too hard could also help.

The absolute best thing is fresh aloe. Slice off the thorns and peel the skin back. The relief is amazing (albeit sticky).

Plain petroleum jelly is supposed to be helpful to healing damaged skin. Of course feeling greasy all day is not desirable, and you would want to wipe off the excess with tissues or soft paper towels. Avoid potions that are perfumed or mentholated. Those can irritate broken skin

Black tea is supposed to help. Just rub it on to sunburned area(s) and relax for a few hours. You can also do this right before you go to bed and take a cool shower in the morning.

Aloe Vera is used as a common treatment for sunburns. Not only it soothes the skin, it may also assist in the healing process. Apply to the affected areas as needed. Although the gel extracted directly from an aloe Vera plant works best.

Sunburn fades in time and if you are badly burnt you might peel a little bit after a few days .. apply aloe vera gel - it helps cool and soothe the skin, keep out of the sun and if you have to go out wear a very strong sunscreen

You have let the ultra violet radiation in the sun beam down and burn your skin. There is somehing that you can do. Get Aloe Vera leaves, slit them in half lengthwise and apply the pleasant goo- like substance all over your burned areas. If you do not have Aloe Vera growing, explain to your pharmacist that you want to get it for putting on sunburned skin. The chemist will have several and will recommend what you want. It is very soothing and calming. If you had been able to apply it immediately, our skin would probably not have blistered. When it does, just cover it with aloe vera. Don't peel the skin off your face in case you may cause bad scarring

White vinegar in a solution of two parts cold water to one part vinegar can work wonders. Soak a cloth in the solution and press it gently onto the burned area. You should never rub it in as this will make matters worse. Just dab in on gently, then leave the skin to dry. Aloe vera can be gently applied to the skin as a follow-up. Do this twice a day until you heal.

Highly Effective Indian Home remedies For Delayed Periods

Delayed periods or Irregular menstrual periods have become very common these days for a lot of women in their reproductive age and they suffer great agonies when their period does not come on time. A delay of 4-5 days may be fine but if it exceeds 8 days, then it's certainly a cause for concern. In this post, I'll be sharing highly effective Indian home remedies for your delayed periods . I'd been a long sufferer of irregular periods during my teenage to early twenties. I've tried most of the recipes here, along with Kapalabhati pranayama, yoga poses, mudras and other lifestyle habits. Now my periods are extremely regular like clockwork; not a day less or more than 28. When I look back, I'm surprised how I managed those years of anxiety and fear about my late periods.

The ache of acne (pimples)

Acne is often the bane of a pretty face. It is painful more emotionally than physically, for the scar that it leaves behind can last for a lifetime, adding to one’s miserable look & feeling. No doubt many expensive skin care clinics have mushroomed in ever nook & corner, offering to clear all the scars & blemishes on the face, but they are very expensive & charge exorbitant price for each sitting; not everyone can afford them. So why not try out this simple skin care regimen to minimize the damage caused by acne & as far as possible prevent its eruption.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well. Investigators from the Women's Health Study have reported important new findings demonstrating that aspirin reduces the risk of a first stroke in women. When given to someone immediately after a heart attack, aspirin decreases death by 25%.
