Papaya mask
Method:
Just mash the papaya pulp and spread it all over your face and neck. After 15 minutes wash it off with cold water and watch your face glow.
Aloevera gel mask
Method:
Slit open a fresh juicy aloe leaf and extract the thick pulp. Mash it well. You might also mix a tsp of glycerin in this aloe gel for getting an extra lubricating mask. Apply it to your face and neck and leave on for 10-12 minutes. Some people are allergic to fresh aloe-gel, they might experience some itching and discomfort. If that is the case with you, then don’t use it.

Method:
Deseed a few grapes and mash them well to get a pulpy mixture. Spread over face and neck for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.
Ingredients:
Strawberries-3
Rose water-1 tbsp
Method:
Mash strawberries and add rose water to the pulp. Apply this mask on the face and neck and let it stay for 15 minutes. Finally rinse off with cold water.
Honey face pack
Honey – 1-2 tbsp
Rosewater – 1 tsp
Method:
Mix the two ingredients and spread over your face and neck. You may even skip using rose water. Honey is a very good hydrant and humectant and is extremely good for dry, moisture depleted skin.
Malai (milk-cream) mask
Ingredients:
Malai (milk cream)
Method:
Apply milk cream over your face and neck; be careful not to get it into the eyes. Keep on for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water followed by a splash of cold water.
Almond oil-milk face pack
Ingredients:
Almond oil – 1 tbsp
Unboiled milk – 2 tsp
A pinch of sugar.
Method:
Dissolve a pinch of sugar in unboiled milk and then add almond oil. Blend it well. Apply to on your face and neck and keep it on for 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water and as then with cold water as the final rinse.
Carrot-honey mask
Ingredients
Carrot juice – 2 tsp
Honey – 5 tsp
Method:
Mix honey and carrot juice so that they blend well. Apply to the face and neck for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off. It makes the skin smooth as silk.
Coconut milk mask
Method:
Grate a fresh coconut and grind the scrapings with little water to extract thick coconut milk. Spread over face and neck for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
Tomato yoghurt mask
Ingredients:
Tomato juice – 1 tsp
Yoghurt (curds) – 1 tbsp
Rosewater – 1/2 tsp
Method:
Mix all the ingredients, add water if necessary. Apply this paste over your face and neck for 10-12 minutes and wash off with slightly tepid water and finally rinse off with cold water.

I love natural face masks and use it every now and then.

ReplyDeleteYou can apply just the egg yolk (make sure to beat it first) to your face and leave it on for thirty minutes, or you can make a facial mask. The facial mask can consist of egg yolk and honey Let the mask set for 20-30 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly with cold water and pat dry. Don’t forget to moisturize afterward!
ReplyDeleteBefore use, make sure you are not allergic to any ingredient of chosen mask by applying it first on a small skin surface for a few minutes. If skin gets red or irritated, rinse it off as soon as possible and do not apply the mask on you face. Remember to clean up you face before applying the mask.

ReplyDeleteQuite honestly the skins reproduction needs help, by exfoliating three times a week can make the skin soft and healthy, it will remove the dead cells that cause most of the problems, eat healthy and drink plenty of water, use a non oily moisturizer. Exfoliate rather than using face masks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an informative post for those of us googling 'homemade facial masks' I usually just use whatever I have in my kitchen but that's not much right now, hahaha, so I was looking for ideas. I recall my mom always breaking a vitamin E into her masks :)
ReplyDelete'Exfoliate rather than using face masks.' Thanks for your advice. I exfoliate regularly, but as I age I have noticed that my skins needs change in cycles and sometimes, like the wintertime when fireplaces, stoves and heaters are roaring, my skin would love some more moisture.
Honey-Papaya Mask

three teaspoons of heavy cream
1/3-cup ripe papaya
1/4-cup honey and three teaspoons of oatmeal powder
Mix and apply on your face. After 10 minutes, wash your face with warm water. This anti aging skin care fask mask helps heal skin blemishes, nourishes, draws out impurities, balances your skin pH, and will leave your skin radiant and soft. Good for acne-prone skin.
Carrot Face Mask

4 1/2 table spoons of honey
Cook the carrots and then mash them up. Mix the carrots with honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Apply gently to the skin and wait for ten minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Carrots are known to be rich in vitamin A and C. They are also rich in potassium. Vitamin A and C are antioxidants. Honey contains sugar, enzymes, minerals, vitamins and amino acids.
Honey Mask (For Oily & Blemished Skin)

Hello, Me and my mom have been making our own toners , face mask for a while using herb extracts,oils ext,but most of the oils and extracts we grow in our own garden such as lavender but I don’t know how to make extracts or oils with theses herb can anyone help out

Microwave the damp towel on high for a few minutes until it is warm and steamy.
Place the towel over your face
Relax for a few minutes while the heat allows the honey to better absorb into the skin.
Beer Mask

1 heaped tsp. plain yogurt
1 tsp. olive oil
1 egg white
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. almond extrac
In a blender, mix all ingredients on low for 30 seconds. Wet face with warm water and evenly apply mixture. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water, then splash with cold water. Life Makes 1/4 cup. Refrigerate. Discard after 2 days.
Try a sugar scrub! mix sugar with lime juice until its like a store bought scrub them use on your hands, feet and face. It is a great for exfoliating! if you need a good moisturizing mask try an avocado mask.
ReplyDeleteCucumber Yogurt Facial Mask-Make a puree of ½ a cucumber and 1 tablespoon yogurt in a blender and apply it on the face evenly. Leave it on the face for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water

Mix the ingredients together to make a paste. Apply to your face, leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
Whitening lotion for face hands:
ReplyDeleteTake pure tamarind powder, multhan pack, and sufficient badam oil for massage. Apply tamarind powder mixed in multhan pack to the face, neck and hands. After one hour wash of the face, neck and hands and clean with the towel. Apply badam oil and then massage. This tip for women brightens their face, neck and hands and makes them look cute and fair.

ReplyDeletewhat you put on your skin has little effect, the effect will by almost doubled if you actually eat it, because the fruits are not easly absorbed by your skin. But i recommend you apply this mask than using artificial masks.

ReplyDeleteFACE MASK can be done once a week. Make mask by mixing plain oatmeal with water. Oatmeal is soothing, absorbs excess oil, makes skin smoother. Wash face with warm water, apply mask. Leave on for 20 min or until it dries. Rinse off with warm water, Apply toner & moisturizer.
