* Use rose water to cleanse your face every morning and evening.
* You may be skeptical of this one but I swear by this remedy. Apply castor oil regularly to your eyebrows and eyelashes before going to bed to enrich their growth.
* To remove blackheads – apply a mixture of greengram (moongdal) flour, curds/yoghurt and turmeric powder everyday and rinse your skin in cold water before and after applying the mixture.
* For oily skin, use one of the following masks twice a week:
1) A paste of ground mint (pudina) leaves and rose water.

2) Peel a small apple and grate it. Squeeze its juice and mix it with a few drops of lime juice. Spread it on your face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse off.
* For dry skin the following mask helps. Blend 2-3 tsp of milk cream with 1-2 tsp of Besan (chickpea flour) and few drops of olive oil and apply it to your face and neck for 15 minutes and then rinse off.
* For a flawless complexion, make a paste of 1 tsp tomato juice, 1 tbsp of cucumber juice, a few drops of lemon juice, 1 tsp of milk and 1 tsp of Besan. Apply it to your face and leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. This also acts as an excellent skin whitener/brightener.
* To minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, apply a paste of ¼ tsp of orange peel powder and few drops of rose water to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse off with cold water.

oily skin tip
ReplyDeleteKeep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!
Take a juice of any fruit (orange, sweet lime, watermelon or papaya) and apply on the face as a mask. It cleanses the skin, closes pores and removes oiliness.

ReplyDeleteHey! This is what I have been doing the last few days. It seems to work pretty good.,.
ReplyDeleteI wash my face normally
Then mix in a bowl - oatmeal, baking soda, salt, sugar
Mix in a cup - vinegar, olive oil
Add a little liquid to the bowl till it makes a paste and spread it on your face. Leave for 15 min.
Wash off with warm not hot water and pat dry.
Do the mask for about 4 days then only do it twice a week.
Also change your pillowcase every few days and wash your face with baking soda in the morning. If u get sweaty during the day just use water.

Our skin is constantly exposed to free radicals from the environment day in and out. These free radicals damage our skin and cause it to age faster.
ReplyDeleteCleansing removes dirt and makeup and reduces oiliness. This helps to keep our skin healthy looking. It is important to select a cleanser that is able to thoroughly cleanse our skin without stripping it of its natural moisture.
