Top 5 Celebrities that have Aged Gracefully

You’ve no doubt seen the best and worst of what the anti-aging industry has to offer when it comes to keeping celebrities looking young.

While some have had phenomenal success with a little nip and tuck (Mary Louise Parker looks better now than she did when she was 20) most have gone way overboard with their face-neutralizing plastics and plumpers.

Melanie Griffith, Mickey Rourke, Sylvester Stallone, and Farrah Fawcett have been lifted and lipo-ed so much that they now resemble claymation versions of their former selves…and don’t look now, but here comes what used to be Heidi Montag.

In any case, some celebrities have managed to avoid the Botox and tummy tucks and have turned out all the better for it. Here are a few famous faves who have aged gracefully and without enhancement.

1. Meryl Streep.

Meryl Streep
This gorgeous Academy Award winner was clearly blessed with some killer genes, because despite the fact that she’s currently 71 years old, she still looks fabulous.

Her face may be a bit more lined than her Kramer vs. Kramer days, and she has decidedly added a few marvelous pounds to her once-lanky frame, but she wears it so well you’d almost believe she was fifteen years younger.

2. Betty White.

Betty White
At 98, this octogenarian is the oldest on the list, but darned if she doesn’t still have the spring in her step of a much younger woman. Sure, she looks like someone’s cute old granny, but that’s exactly as it should be.

With a jolly demeanor and the mouth of a sailor, she has found a way to remain youthfully ebullient and without having a bit of work done.

3. Diane Lane.

Diane Lane

It’s almost hard to believe this 55-year-old actress and sex symbol can be classified as having entered late middle age, but if everyone looked like her, there’d be a lot more cougars on the market.

Her softly forming smile lines only serve to enhance her natural beauty and it’s clear that she keeps her figure through diet and exercise, as she has stated that she’s simply too chicken to get plastic surgery. Despite that, lead roles as the love interest keep coming her way.

4. Sidney Poitier.

It’s hard to believe that the actor famous for roles in such controversial films as A Raisin in the Sun, In the Heat of the Night, and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is now 93 years old.

And yet, with barely a trace of gray in his hair and a jaw line that simply refuses to sag, he could easily be mistaken for a man in his 50s or 60s.

5. Sean Connery.

The “best ever Bond” may have a lot more lines on his handsome face and a beard that’s decidedly white, but he is still one of the hottest older gents to be seen on the pages of fan mags.

Even a dress (okay, a kilt) can’t take an ounce of masculinity away from this super stud of the silver screen. That’s right: Sean Connery proudly proclaims, “Suck it, Botox!”

Don't dress too young - this makes you look like 'mutton dressed as lamb'. No your skin tones and dress with the colours that suit you - not too dowdy but not too garish. If you're luck enough not to look your age and look younger then make sure you look after your hair - that's the first thing people notice - have a young style.

Keep active physically and mentally, have friends, eat well, don't smoke, use sunscreen.
It's not only about looks but attitude and mental outlook.

the things that make women of any age look most beautiful is when they're healthy and confident in themselves. It has to be be tough to watch your face change, but remember that older faces can be beautiful too. :) In my mind the ugliest older women are the ones who either have bad attitudes and look really uptight and scowl all the time, and the ones who end up using all sorts of artificial products to keep looking young.
I know "be yourself" is probably like the most overused line ever these days, but here's one area where I think it really applies!

  6. Older women usually look nice in quality well made clothes than mini skirts or what they wore in their late teens and early 20s.

It's possible to age gracefully. I feel that it helps to have a positive attitude about it. I mean, we all are gonna get old. It's inevitable. Every movie star, supermodel, etc....and it doesn't matter if you get plastic surgery or not. In the end, once we're gone...it's not gonna matter. I figure we should just enjoy each day as it comes and deal with it. And moisturize like a mutha! :)

I've noticed that often it's people who have good bone structure to begin with who appear to age more gracefully. For celebrities, who frequently have more resources than others, the graceful aging can be attributed to access to to best health and dental treatments, the most advanced spas, the most expensive hair stylists, being able to hire 24/7 personal trainers, access to the healthiest foods, and of course, camera angles!

Botox, Restalyn, chemical peels, microdermabrasion..ect, ect. You don't think they look like that naturally, do you? After 30, they have their plastic surgeons on speed dial

A lot of facials and spa treatments. They use products that are pricey but really help.

Cosmetic surgery can be subtle and selective. It's great if you are happy with what nature is doing to your body but for many women a little improvement with surgery can make a big difference to their self-esteem in this youth obsessed society that we live in.

Highly Effective Indian Home remedies For Delayed Periods

Delayed periods or Irregular menstrual periods have become very common these days for a lot of women in their reproductive age and they suffer great agonies when their period does not come on time. A delay of 4-5 days may be fine but if it exceeds 8 days, then it's certainly a cause for concern. In this post, I'll be sharing highly effective Indian home remedies for your delayed periods . I'd been a long sufferer of irregular periods during my teenage to early twenties. I've tried most of the recipes here, along with Kapalabhati pranayama, yoga poses, mudras and other lifestyle habits. Now my periods are extremely regular like clockwork; not a day less or more than 28. When I look back, I'm surprised how I managed those years of anxiety and fear about my late periods.

Simple ways of acquiring a clear & blemish free skin

It is not necessary to go to expensive beauty parlours or buy expensive creams and lotions to acquire a blemish free & clear complexion. A few homemade remedies are provided below which will serve the purpose equally well. Hope this will benefit the readers. 1. Always wash your face with mild soap so that the pores breathe fresh air. For a clear and attractive skin mix besan, turmeric (haldi), lemon and milk together. Make a paste. Apply it on the face. Let it dry. Wash with clean water. Wipe your face with a soft towel and pat it dry.

The ache of acne (pimples)

Acne is often the bane of a pretty face. It is painful more emotionally than physically, for the scar that it leaves behind can last for a lifetime, adding to one’s miserable look & feeling. No doubt many expensive skin care clinics have mushroomed in ever nook & corner, offering to clear all the scars & blemishes on the face, but they are very expensive & charge exorbitant price for each sitting; not everyone can afford them. So why not try out this simple skin care regimen to minimize the damage caused by acne & as far as possible prevent its eruption.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well. Investigators from the Women's Health Study have reported important new findings demonstrating that aspirin reduces the risk of a first stroke in women. When given to someone immediately after a heart attack, aspirin decreases death by 25%.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
