Model turned actor, and now Television anchor and VJ Deepti Gujral isn't exactly a high-maintenance girl and goes by whatever works for her. She says, "In fact, natural remedies and DIY beauty aids have worked wonders for me. Honey is my all-time favourite kitchen beauty aid. I have a sensitive skin that tans easily. Especially these hot summers are very trying for my skin. So, whenever I get a skin tan or sunburn, I simply slather on pure organic honey all over my skin. It's so cooling and soothing and heals my skin awesomely well. I also use it in several DIY face masks. Besides this, I also  use green tea as an eye-depuffer. I do have a tendency for puffed eyes, so whenever my eyes get puffy or feel simply tired, I rest with pre-refrigerated green tea bags on them and my eyes feel so relaxed."

Though her must-have fashion accessories are bags, clutches, watches and high heels, she isn't a brand-conscious person. If she likes something she wouldn't hesitate to buy it even from the streets. "I wear what's comfortable and looks good on me.", she confides.

For Shiny Hair: To add some shine to your hair, mix 1 teaspoon of honey, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and 1 quart of warm water. Shampoo your hair as usual and then pour the honey mixture on your hair. Allow your hair to dry as normal. You do not have to rinse out the honey mixture.

Honey is a Skin toner also. To firm, smooth, and moisturize your skin, combine 1 peeled, cored apple with 1 tablespoon of honey in a blender. Pulse honey mixture until smooth. Gently apply honey mixture on face and allow it to remain for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water to remove the honey mixture.

Body glow bath: To moisturize, smooth, and get an all over body glow, keep a jar of honey next to your bath. Apply honey on your skin and pat dry using both hands. While patting your skin, the honey will get sticky and gently pull up your skin. Rinse away the honey when you are done. The results will be great circulation and beautiful, glowing skin!

The antioxidant properties of honey help to protect and rejuvenate the skin and aid to cleanse complexion. The natural hydrating properties of honey trap and seal the moisture in the skin leaving it soft and supple.

Honey has a mild bleaching effect. Mixing equal parts of honey and yogurt provide a natural mixture that effectively lightens skin, and hair. It is commonly used as a natural treatment for lightening age spots. Allow the mixture to dry on the skin or hair. This typically takes 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse the area with warm water and repeat daily until the desired effect has been achieved. This mixture should be stored in the refrigerator between uses.

Believe it or not, and not just as a moisturizer but as an aid to keeping your skin more youthful and more healthy. But forget trying to smear honey on your face before you go to bed, after all it messes up your pillow!

Model Sonalika Sahay says I kickstart my day with a glass of warm water spiked with honey and lemon, followed by five almonds soaked overnight. I love to eat a lavish breakfast of wholewheat bread and cheese, juice, cereal, sprouts or fresh fruit.
One beauty rule I always follow is to keep my skin clean. This is especially vital for me because I spend a lot of time under harsh studio lights, which stresses the skin out.
My skin loves good quality moisturisers from brands such as Clarins, and loads of water. I have dry skin; keeping it hydrated is essential for me.
