5 Everyday Lifestyle Habits That Cause Wrinkles

Wrinkles are an indication that youโ€™re getting older. Not a good sign, is it? After all, most of us want to remain vibrant, youthful and energetic as long as possible, but when a wrinkle appears, itโ€™s undeniable evidence that you just canโ€™t do that. But donโ€™t fret because it is possible to keep your skin as smooth as possible, even without getting BOTOX, as long as you arenโ€™t doing any of these things:
1. Scrubbing or rubbing your face too hard when cleansing in the morning and before you got to sleep.
Washing your face requires the lightest touch possible. Although you may be tempted to rub and scrub thoroughly so you can get every last bit of gunk thatโ€™s clogging your pores and muting the clarity of your skin, itโ€™s not a good idea. Your skin becomes weaker with age, and all that tugging and pulling will contribute to damage in the form of lines, creases and wrinkles.

2. Sleeping on your front
If you sleep on your front, youโ€™re all too familiar with the creases on your face as soon as you get up. You see them in the mirror first thing in the morning, and itโ€™s essentially an imprint of your pillow or blanket. Itโ€™s not surprising, since most people remain in the same position for many hours through the night. While these creases you see in the morning eventually fade, as you get older, youโ€™ll probably notice that they remain longer and longer. Your skin just canโ€™t bounce back as easily when itโ€™s older, which is why wrinkles eventually result. Sleep on your back if you want to keep your skin as smooth as possible.

3. Eating too much refined sugar
Have you heard of glycation? Glycation is basically a physiological process that begins with the consumption of sugar, and ends up with the destruction of healthy collagen and elastin fibres (which contribute to the firmness of your skin) that eventually results in wrinkles and saggy skin. Cut back on your refined sugar consumption, and opt for more natural sources.

4. Suntanning
Science has forged a strong link between the effects of prolonged sun exposure with unhealthy skin. Not only do we all know that UV rays can cause skin cancer, did you know that it can also cause wrinkles? UV rays destroy our collagen and elastin proteins as well as dehydrates the skin, leaving it weathered, brittle and more susceptible to damage. The bad thing about suntanning is that even though you may not see the damage itโ€™s caused right away, you will see it eventually, at which time itโ€™s usually quite bad. Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s so important to start protecting your skin as soon as possible if you havenโ€™t already done so.

5. Taking long hot baths
At the end of a hard day, thereโ€™s nothing more relaxing than taking a long hot bath. But beware! This can strip your skin of protective oils and leave it puckered and wrinkly, vulnerable to the environment after youโ€™ve finished bathing. Itโ€™s better to find something relaxing thatโ€™s less stressful for your skin. This may sound strange, but a good workout is a much better way to relax, since it releases endorphins (chemicals that make you feel good). Plus, the sweat releases toxins through your pores, which is a fantastic way to improve clarity and get a healthy glow!

Gravity exacerbates the situation, contributing to the formation of jowls and drooping eyelids. (Eyebrows, surprisingly, move up as a person ages, possibly because of forehead wrinkles.)

the wrinkles are caused by age, as we age the skin loses the agent that gives it elasticity called collagen.

when we squint the eyes get small creases, if you do this over time it gets harder for the skin to bounce back because the collagen has been gradually depleted from the skin, parts will remain creased and other areas of the skin begin to sag because the collagen also helps to keep the skin tight against the flesh.

  6. The sun dose promote wrinkles not only squinting but it takes the natural oil out of your skin, wrinkles also just happen with age, you start losing the elastic from your skin. vitamin E and oatmeal cream or skin lotion will help slow that down.

Dry skin is one of the top causes of premature wrinkles. People with dry skin will usually get wrinkles before people with normal skin or oily skin. Sun exposure is one of the top causes of premature wrinkles, mostly because the sunโ€™s rays dry out the skin. Smoking also leads to premature wrinkles, again because it dries out the skin. Heredity and fair skin can also be contributing factors. People with fair skin tend to get premature wrinkles more often than other people.

  8. When you get older, your skins ability to repair itself gets less. That's a natural process. To slow it down, make sure there is no need for your skin to repair itself, eg don't let it dry out, don't get into the sun too much (or use sunblock), dont use too much makeup.
Secondly, your skin needs vitamins, so make sure you have a healthy, balanced diet.

I can't sleep on my back because I have back problem (arthritis and DDD - degenerative disc disease) So, I have to sleep on side. I know for fact that high percentage of people have back pain, so #2 shouldn't be mentioned and maybe to have it removed. (in my humble opinion)

Get rid of head lice with these home remedies

Lice infestation is such a bothersome, distracting and embarrassing problem. Surely everyone harbors them at one time or the other. It is usually common among school children but soon spreads to other members of the family. Contrary to popular belief, it is not a sign of poor hygiene, as lice are not fussy whether they lay their eggs in clean or dirty hair. But yes, a dirty scalp can well serve as a perfect breeding ground for these tiresome creatures. Lice get transferred easily from child to child owing to the close contact of heads, during play, while sitting together or by sharing caps. Though there are many chemical and herbal over-the-counter preparations to remove lice, it is better to refrain from using them for they might also remove a good bit of your hair, while others could have a drying effect on the hair.  There are many home-remedies which do work well but the age-old method of regular combing with a close-toothed comb on all counts, is the most eff...
