Getting Rid Of Scars: Some Effective Treatment Methods

Sometimes, scars could be very difficult to get rid of and though there are a lot of different treatment options available, not all of them are going to work perfectly for everyone because every individual has a different skin type and the results are often dependent on the type of scars. Here we are going to take a look at some methods that really help getting rid of scars and these are inexpensive too:

Cocoa butter and vitamin E oil - This is a time-tested method and it really works wonders if your scars are small and fresh. Make a mixture out of cocoa butter and vitamin E oil and apply on the affected areas at least 3 to 4 times a week and that is not only going to moisturize the skin but also make the skin lighter. However, this treatment works best if your scars are fresh and if they are already a couple of years old, you might need to go beyond cocoa butter and vitamin E oil.

Dermabrasion - Dermabrasion is a very effective and time-tested method to get rid of scar marks permanently. Our skin has a normal cycle of 28 days and within these 28 days, older skin cells are removed and their place is taken by fresh skin cells. Dermabrasion procedure involves removal of dead skin cells and also the upper layer of the skin so as to promote faster skin growth and with the removal of the upper layer of the skin, your scar marks are going to fade away completely because almost all kinds all superficial marks are harbored in the upper layer of the skin. So, just a couple of sessions of Dermabrasion is going to help you get rid of your scar marks permanently.

Laser treatment - This is also an effective treatment for removal of scar marks. Highly targeted laser beams are focused on specific colored patches on the skin and the laser beams are going to blast off the targeted color patches off your skin in just a couple of sessions. This usually works best for white and dark colored patches. However, some modern laser machines are also capable of targeting other colors and this is an inexpensive way of getting rid of scar marks permanently.

The combination of hyaluronic acid and Botox - For the uninitiated, hyaluronic acid is an integral part of the skin and it is responsible for the process of collagenization. Since, scar marks are formed in response to an accidental wear and tear of skin, the normal collagenization process cannot work effectively and hence hyaluronic acid injections can solve the problem. Hyaluronic acid injections would replenish your skin, promote faster collagenization and after just a couple of sessions, you would be able to have a fresh layer of skin on the affected areas that matches the surrounding areas and the scar marks are going to fade away permanently. This is a very effective and inexpensive treatment and there are absolutely no side effects.

It is a good idea to combine Botox along the hyaluronic acid because sometimes fine lines and wrinkles are associated with scar marks and Botox would be able to take care of them permanently. It is true that Botox offers only temporary benefits, but in any case you just need to remove the fine lines and wrinkles until fresh skin develops as a result of hyaluronic acid injections; so, a combination of Botox and hyaluronic acid would be able to give you blemish free skin permanently.

putting on aloe vera juice everyday twice a day.. that usually works. If that doesn't work, rose water applied daily might work. And there are many products made for acne scars such as neutrogina acne scar removal. And if all else fails, visit a dermatologist.

Aloevera, the wonder herb

Of all the herbs available in the kitchen garden, aloe is perhaps the richest in healing properties and has been rightly named the “first-aid” plant. It has moisturizing and emollient properties and is used in cosmetic creams, sun-lotions, shaving creams and face packs. It can easily be cultivated as a house-plant in a sunny warm spot with good drainage. Cosmetologists mix aloe with several other herbs and draft fancy names for it. Then these “herbal” avatars are sold at exorbitant prices. Growing a plant and using fresh gel is much more effective than bottled gel, simply because it is alive and therefore is more potent. It is the only plant whose extract is applied directly from plant to face in its natural and purest form.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
