What Are The Risks of Breast Augmentations?

While breast augmentation in the modern day is generally complication free there are risks to the body that can be garnered from any invasive cosmetic plastic surgery. The specific risk will vary. Risks from breast augmentation vary but the most common risks are loss of sensation, lost capacity to breast feed, rupture of the implant, leakage from the implant, and shifting of the implant.

Loss of sensation from an implant can be in any part of the breast, but the typical location to lose sensitivity is the nipple. This generally occurs only when periareolar incisions are used to implant the silicone shell. This loss of sensitivity will only occur if nerve endings are damaged during surgery. A well-practiced and experienced surgeon can generally avoid this complication.

The loss of the capacity to breast feed can also occur for similar reasons as sensation loss. Sometimes it is due to damaged never endings but most often it is due to damage or pressure on glandular tissue. To avoid this complication it is generally recommended to us the transaxillary insertion method. This is considered the best course of action for women who desire the ability to continue breast feeding. However, this incision type brings the greatest risk of visible scarring.

The possibility of the implant rupturing is very real. Implants do not last for all eternity and rarely for the entire life span of the patient. They need to be replaced after a time. Breast implants can rupture due to aging of the implant, trauma to the breasts or extensive compression to the area the implants are installed in.
Leaking implants are not uncommon. There has been a great deal of medical scrutiny toward this phenomenon and any possible side effects it might have in the body. Despite many individuals insisting that leakage caused severe medical issues there has been a determination that breast implant leakage from thoroughly inspected and approved materials does not pose significant health risk.

The possibility of an implant shifting can lead to many side-effects that range from an unaesthetic appearance to a possibly life threatening occurrence. If the cavity in which the implant is placed is not sized appropriately the implant may undergo several different types of movement. One of the most common is known as implant wrinkling. This is most common in under filled implants that utilize saline solution as the filler. The appearance of the breasts in some instance is rather like a half filled water balloon when the individual moves into certain body positions. Beyond this unappealing occurrence there is a situation known as breast implant migration that can do anything from make an individual's breast appear misshapen to the full effects of symnastia. Symnastia is commonly called "uniboob". This occurs when breast implants slide toward the center of the chest and give the appearance of one singular breast.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well.
