Steps to Becoming a Beauty Bargain Hunter

Who doesn't like looking their most beautiful, right? Yet, when it comes to finding the makeup and hair products to do that, if you're not careful, it can become a bit of a pricey and daunting task.

Indeed, as much as you would like to put your best face forward, it would be even better if you could do it while saving as much money as you possibly can.

Change
There are ways to have the best of both worlds and we've enclosed five of them; five tips that will help you to become a beauty bargain hunter for both you and your friends in no time:

Look for product reviews.

In beauty magazines and online, there are plenty of articles that review products and even compare them to others that are way cheaper (and sometimes better). So, if you're looking for a really great waterproof mascara, go to your favorite search engine and put "best waterproof mascara on a budget" in the search field and watch all of the results and reviews that come up.

Get to know the online "beauty bargain hunters".

There are women (and some men) online who are self-professed beauty bargain hunters who can give you some ideas on how to find the best deals. One person in particular is a woman by the name of Melissa who claims to have 17 years of experience in the field. And guess what her website is called? Yep, you guess it: TheBeautyBargainHunter.com.

Don't forget about sales.

Cosmetic departments have sales just like everyone else does. You simply have to get into the habit of finding out when they are. If MAC or Bobbi Brown (for instance) is one of your favorite cosmetic lines, ask the customer service associate behind the counter if there is a mailing list that you can be put on so that you can be informed of new products and discounts that may be made available.

Visit Sally's Beauty Supply Store.

Whether you check them out online or you go into the store for yourself, remember that Sally's has "Beauty Supply" right in its title and so you can find a lot of what you need for your hair, skin and face all in one shop. Sally's is a pretty good resource because they tend to have all kinds of sales on a fairly consistent basis.

Some, you can only take advantage of by making a purchase online and others, you can only get by going into the store. But either way, if you need a ceramic hair dryer or a product to wax the hair off of your skin, they'll make the visit worth your while.

Drug stores are beauty gems

Whether it's Revlon's ColorStay Foundation or the Kardashian sisters' Kardashian Kolors Nail Polish, you can find some "good as the department store" beauty items right at your local Walgreens or CVS stores.

The main thing to keep in mind with them is that you should go online to a RetailMeNot.com or Coupons.com first in order to see if there is a promotional code available so that you can get a discount on some of their products.

If you were going to spend $20 for a tube of foundation, you might as well have gone to the mall, so make sure that you get the best deal possible. After all, that's how a true beauty bargain hunter-in-the-making thinks!
