In 2014, you can incorporate popular ready-to-wear items in a way that expresses your uniqueness. The right ensemble will help you ring in the New Year right, and you don't have to overspend in order to make a lasting impression.

How to use Ordinary Clothing to Create an Extraordinary Look

Unless you just walked across the red carpet, usually less is better than more. Ordinary items worn in an extraordinary way makes you make your body look more attractive. At the same time, you can present yourself in a way that suits you best.
Check to see if you have these five items in your wardrobe, and use them to your advantage:

Five of The Hottest Fashion Items For 2014

American made jeans
No one can go wrong with this classic item. Denim pants work well for any casual New Year's party or any other informal social event. You can combine them with a long shirt worn buttoned only at the top. Otherwise, cover up a tight t-shirt with an oversized blazer left partly open. To make your outfit more original, personalize your jeans by adding decorative patches to them. After all, custom embroidery is making a comeback this year. Just make sure your jeans fit snugly enough without cutting off your circulation.

Embroidered jackets
Whether you design the patches yourself or wear ones as seen on Miley Cyrus, embroidery on jackets is making a comeback. You can stitch them on coats made of any material that will not tear while sewing. Embroidery can make any everyday item look special when applied in the right way.

T-shirts with a message
Plain ones of any style with a short phrase of up to three words such as "I AM HERE" or "PARENTAL ADVISORY" imprinted across the front are in right now. However, you can make a statement with just one word. The shirts that say "Petals" or "Snug" are good examples of what you can do in 2014 with an ordinary top. According to Fashionising, it does not matter what you say on your shirt as long as you say it "loud and clear."

Inversely-buttoned shirts
Regardless of the material used to make them, long shirts can help you create a stunning look for casual parties. You could button them toward the top, letting your shirttails flow as they may. However, you may be too shy to let your midriff show. If so, just layer it over the top of a form-fitting cotton t-shirt. In any case, longer shirts can help you feel slimmer.

Leather coats
You can find one perfect for any body type, and you can use them for any occasion. Show your American pride by selecting a patriotically-embroidered one, or find a jacket that accentuates the parts of your body you want to flaunt the most. For a more professional appeal, you might consider a leather and wool jacket for the office.

It's Usually not What you Wear

Usually, fashion is more about how you wear clothing rather than what you wear. If you understand this, you can use the same items you bought last year as long as they are in excellent condition.

All you have to do is learn how to incorporate the hottest new fashion trends correctly. If you need to replenish your stock of basic fashion items to stay current in 2014, www.unionlabel.com will provide you with what you need.

Lemon as a beauty aid

The diminutive lemon is a very versatile beauty-aid and this cheap and golden-coloured fruit has excellent properties for enhancing your looks. Simple lemon-based preparations, you can mix in your own kitchen, will surely bring a dramatic transformation in your beauty regimen.

Aloevera, the wonder herb

Of all the herbs available in the kitchen garden, aloe is perhaps the richest in healing properties and has been rightly named the “first-aid” plant. It has moisturizing and emollient properties and is used in cosmetic creams, sun-lotions, shaving creams and face packs. It can easily be cultivated as a house-plant in a sunny warm spot with good drainage. Cosmetologists mix aloe with several other herbs and draft fancy names for it. Then these “herbal” avatars are sold at exorbitant prices. Growing a plant and using fresh gel is much more effective than bottled gel, simply because it is alive and therefore is more potent. It is the only plant whose extract is applied directly from plant to face in its natural and purest form.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
