Six Celebrity Beauty Tricks You Can Use Yourself

We all look at famous people and think to ourselves, “Why can't I look like that?” Most of the time we chalk it up to the fact that we just can not find the money in our budgets to spend hundreds of dollars on expensive designer brand clothing and plastic surgery.

Fortunately, you do not have to have the bank account of an A-List celeb to look like a star. There are many beauty tricks you can do yourself, most of them don't cost much and can be done at home!

Six Celebrity Beauty Tricks You Can Use Yourself

1. Do It Yourself Facials

Every 4-6 weeks it's a good idea to get a facial. Most of us don't have the cash to drop on a spa visit, but luckily they are easy to do at home. First, use hot water and a brush or facial scrub to remove dead skin. Do your neck and chest as well.

Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel and use it to sterilize your face. This will work on unclogging your pores. Then you apply a mask and keep it on for ten minutes. After you wash it off, apply a moisturizer.

If you want a more natural facial, there are many face masks you can make from yogurt, honey, strawberries or avocado that can easily be found online.

2. Hair Detox

A hair detox may be in order. To do this, you just add a teaspoon of baking soda to your regular shampoo and wash. This will balance the pH levels and cleanse your hair. After cleansing with baking soda, a natural way to restore your hair's healthy shine is to apply a rinse made with apple cider vinegar and water.

3. Hair Mask

Make it yourself by combining 3 parts olive oil, one part honey, and an egg and mix it all together. This treatment will nourish and strengthen your hair and remove impurities. If you have dry hair, this is a great way to restore moisture to your locks. For an added benefit, put a shower cap and towel on your head and heat your hair with your blow dryer on a low setting.

4. Pretty Smile

One of the easiest methods of improving your appearance is simply by improving your smile. Most celebrities get work done on their teeth to make them appear larger, brighter and whiter.

There are many ways to improve the look of your smile, whether you visit a cosmetic dentist for veneers or do an at home whitening treatment, there is something for everyone.

5. Dress your Best

No matter the size or shape of a star, they always dress amazing. Although celebrities might have personal stylists to help them pick out expensive clothing, you don't have to spend a lot of money to look great.

The key is dressing for your body type. If you are curvier, emphasize your small waist. If you have long legs, wear skinny jeans.

If you have clothing that just doesn't fit you properly, consider visiting a seamstress to have it altered to fit you perfectly.

6. Pretty Eyes

Some celebrities pay big money for face lifts, botox treatments or other methods of making their eyes appear brighter and younger. However, you don't have to go under the knife to change the look of your eyes drastically.

A trick many celebrities use to enhance their eyes is false lashes. If you have short or straight lashes, simply gluing on longer, yet natural looking lashes can help open the eyes.

Aspirin for acne-prone skin

Aspirin has been around for a long time and its health benefits are wide and varied. Aspirin , or acetylsalicylic acid is a salicylate drug, often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains , as an antipyretic to reduce fever , and as an anti-inflammatory medication. Aspirin's greatest benefit is reducing cardiovascular events including heart attacks and strokes. According to the American Heart Assoc. virtually all women are at risk of heart disease and doctors should more strongly consider prescribing a daily aspirin for their female patients. There is growing evidence to suggest regular aspirin use may reduce cancer and dementia as well. Investigators from the Women's Health Study have reported important new findings demonstrating that aspirin reduces the risk of a first stroke in women. Delayed periods or Irregular menstrual periods have become very common these days for a lot of women in their reproductive age and they suffer great agonies when their period does not come on time. A delay of 4-5 days may be fine but if it exceeds 8 days, then it's certainly a cause for concern. In this post, I'll be sharing highly effective Indian home remedies for your delayed periods . I'd been a long sufferer of irregular periods during my teenage to early twenties. I've tried most of the recipes here, along with Kapalabhati pranayama, yoga poses, mudras and other lifestyle habits. Now my periods are extremely regular like clockwork; not a day less or more than 28. When I look back, I'm surprised how I managed those years of anxiety and fear about my late periods.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
