Yes, summer was great, with bronze tones and products to highlight your tan. But fall is just as great, with such a wide range of colors being available when it comes to makeup.

From the mauve Bohemia Rouge to the classic cat eye, this fall has unique looks to offer, which you just have to try. Immerse yourself in a world full of wonderful ideas, feeling romantic and elegant at the same time.

#1 Autumn-inspired colors

A poet once said that nature serves as the best source of inspiration, as it has so many beautiful colors to offer. Well, if we were to look at this season’s makeup colors, we would quickly discover that many of them are borrowed from nature.

We recommend trying the smoky brown eyeshadow, as this will help you look fantastic and in touch with nature. You can wear a lipstick that matches this color, thus completing your perfect appearance.

#2 Foundation for acne-prone skin

Just because you are suffering from acne doesn’t mean you should give up on makeup altogether. On the contrary, this fall you have to give the acne-fighting foundation a try, as it well help you look beautiful while treating your acne problems.

How to get rid of acne? Well, now you no longer have to worry about such matters. The foundation recommended for acne-prone skin contains active ingredients, such as salicylic acid, being able to treat existent problems and prevent new breakouts from occurring.

#3 More volume on your lashes with the right mascara

This fall season contains a lot of interesting makeup trends, and the volumizing mascara is definitely at the top of the favorites list. Use mascara to add volume to your eyelashes, skip the eye shadow and use matte foundation for the perfect contrast.

As for the lips, you can go with a dark berry lipstick, to add even more contrast. By choosing all of these elements, you will definitely look like a model on the runway.

#4 Blue eye shadow as single makeup element

If you are the kind who likes to stand out from the rest of the crowd, you have to try this makeup suggestion.

Choose a great blue eyeshadow and apply it on both the lower and upper eyelid. For even more contrast, you can use a little bit of mascara. Leave the rest of the face untouched, impressing everyone with your choice in makeup.

This is an excellent choice indeed for those who are unconventional, so you have to go ahead and try it on your own.

#5 Black all around

The strange look is back, and you have to try it as well. Apply smudgy black eye shadow on both the lower and upper eyelid.

To complete your look, create the perfect cat eye with liquid eyeliner. This look is beautiful with pumped-up hair and untouched eyebrows.

You will definitely make a positive impression with your friends, especially since this is a unique look, making a comeback from the 80s.

#6 Romantic look with nude-colored lipstick

Ladies, if you really want to present a romantic look, you have to go with the nude-colored lipstick. You can even sport on a peach-colored one, but you have to watch out for the eyeshadow colors you are going to wear.

Do not go for intense colors, as you will create too big of contrast. Instead, opt for delicate blue or green nuances, applying them in a subtle manner.

#7 Old Hollywood glamor

Remember the 1950s and the Hollywood actresses wearing their hair in bundles? Their makeup choice was kind of interesting as well.

If you are all about Hollywood glamor, it is time to bring everything back and choose a unique makeup combination. For the eyes, apply a fine line with your liquid eyeliner.

You can use eyeliner on your lower lash line, especially if you want to draw more attention to your eyes. Complete your look with a plum-colored lipstick, the perfect choice for this fall season.

#8 Natural Blush and false eyelashes

If you prefer simple makeup ideas, you will love this combination. This fall, we recommend that you try out the natural blush, as it will help you look beautiful, without appearing as if you were trying too hard. You can also wear false eyelashes, in order to draw attention to your eyes as well. At this point, you can leave everything else as it is. Or, if you really want to impress, wear a bright-red lipstick.

#9 Gold eyeliner

You might think that the gold eyeliner is reserved exclusively for the summer season but, in reality, it isn’t so. The gold eyeliner is perfect for this fall season, allowing you to look fantastic.

The great thing is that you can match it up with a broad range of eye shadow colors, so you will definitely have a very good time while trying on various combinations. You can wear it without eyeshadow as well, as it is guaranteed it will make your eyes stand out all on its own.

Final Words

These are only a couple of makeup ideas recommended for this fall season. Keep in mind that less is more, especially when it comes to makeup.

Do not exaggerate by wearing more than is needed, otherwise you will end up looking older than you really are.

Enjoy yourself while playing with colors and make sure to try different looks, before deciding on a final one.

Lemon as a beauty aid

The diminutive lemon is a very versatile beauty-aid and this cheap and golden-coloured fruit has excellent properties for enhancing your looks. Simple lemon-based preparations, you can mix in your own kitchen, will surely bring a dramatic transformation in your beauty regimen.

Aloevera, the wonder herb

Of all the herbs available in the kitchen garden, aloe is perhaps the richest in healing properties and has been rightly named the “first-aid” plant. It has moisturizing and emollient properties and is used in cosmetic creams, sun-lotions, shaving creams and face packs. It can easily be cultivated as a house-plant in a sunny warm spot with good drainage. Cosmetologists mix aloe with several other herbs and draft fancy names for it. Then these “herbal” avatars are sold at exorbitant prices. Growing a plant and using fresh gel is much more effective than bottled gel, simply because it is alive and therefore is more potent. It is the only plant whose extract is applied directly from plant to face in its natural and purest form.

I Tried a Headache Balm and Ended Up with Rashes

I do have this habit of slathering pain balms whenever I have a headache. But never did I get a skin reaction or rashes from it. It so happened that I had an extremely severe headache a few months ago.  The pain was so unbearable that I gingerly reached out for a pain balm kept on my bedside table and kept on slathering it repeatedly all over the temples of my forehead. Next morning, after I woke up, I found that the skin on my forehead was peeling off and worse there were red rashes!  This was the first time in my life that I was getting rashes from applying a pain balm on my forehead !  I have never had any pain balm allergy or as such!  Side-effects due to application of a pain balm  was something I've never come across all these years! I usually use pain balms of reputed companies – my usual favourites are Tiger balm, Amrutanjan, Zandu balm and Sloan’s balm.  This time I had used Tiger balm. But why did it  give me rashes now, when I had used it...
