Prema asks:
I use cold wax for removing superfluous hair from my legs.
According to the instructions on the jar, it should be used once a month. But
my hair has grown back within a week. Why is it so?
Response:
When the hair is not pulled properly or when it has not been
gripped firmly by the wax, it breaks just below the skin and surfaces within a
week.
Normally waxing lasts for about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the individual hair growth rate. So, there is something wrong with your waxing method. Do read Waxing at home.

Professional Waxing is Better.
It is better to have the waxing done professionally for better and long lasting results. Waxing may appear very simple and easy to do but there is a marked difference between waxing done by a professional and the one done by an amateur at home.So unless and until you feel confident enough to do it correctly, I suggest you get it done at a beauty salon.
Waxing is one of the best methods of hair removal
Waxing is one the best ways to get rid of superfluous hair and the re-growth is also very slow because the hair is pulled from the roots. Repeated waxing over a period of time ensures that the density of hair growth is reduced and the resultant hair growth will be lighter and finer, probably due to traction alopecia. The only drawbacks are that the hair has to grow to a certain length before it can be waxed and you might experience some skin-itching when new hair spouts back. Chances of ingrown hair, red bumps etc is also very less if the waxing is done perfectly.
If the hair is pulled precisely and in one swipe, waxing is almost pain free but if you have a sensitive skin and find waxing extremely painful, you can always try a LMX-4 topical anesthetic cream.
So for a smooth skin and hair-free legs,
arms or underarms for a long time, waxing is the way to go but it has
to be done the right way!
