Budget Beauty Tips and hacks to look stunning
- Apply honey to minor burns to get relief from burning sensation and scars.
- To fade blemishes, apply carrot juice on your face regularly.
- If you have dry, flaky arms and legs try this. Mix 6 tsp of petroleum jelly, 2 tsp of glycerine and 2 tsp of lemon juice. Apply this moisturizing lotion at least twice a week.
- If you have cracked heels, melt paraffin wax, mix it with a little Mustard oil and apply on the affected area and leave it on overnight. Do this everyday. Your heels will become smooth within 10-15 days.
- Massage your body with a mixture of coconut oil and some of your favourite essential oils like lavender or rosemary. Your skin besides smelling heavenly will become silky and supple.
- If you have facial hair, apply a sticky paste of egg white blended with sugar and cornflour. When it dries, gently peel off. Repeat this 3-4 times a week. This homemade oil for unwanted facial hair is also highly effective.
- For darkened neck and underarms, apply lemon juice mixed with cucumber juice and a pinch of turmeric daily. Leave this on for 20 minutes.
- To reduce puffiness of your eyes, grate a potato, tie it in a cloth and place the cloth over your eyes for about 15 minutes.
- Suffering from sunburns? Peel and grate a cucumber. Squeeze the juice. Mix 1/2 a tsp of rose water. Apply this on sunburns, leave it on for some time and then wash off. Also see these tips to ease sunburn ouch.
- A soothing body pack: Make a paste of mint (pudina) leaves and almonds. Add 3-5 tbsp of Besan (chickpea flour). Apply it all over your body and let it stay for 15 minutes. Then bathe with tepid water. Do not use soap or body wash.
- Alternate between a loofah or granular scrub and an AHA lotion to get maximum benefits from the exfoliation. This trick helps get rid of dead skin cell build up more effectively.
- You can convert your ordinary shampoo into an anti-dandruff shampoo by putting some aspirin tablet powder into it. There are properties in aspirin that can soothe a dry, itchy scalp. This remedy will prove to be cost-effective for you, especially if you are a chronic sufferer. You can also douse dandruff flakes with cup of boiled and cooled green tea.
- Dab antibacterial tea tree oil on zits to reduce the inflammation.
- Use baby oils (Johnson's baby oil) instead of cleansing creams, they will do the same job at less than half the price.
- If you have blemishes, use a concealer before applying foundation. Avoid putting too much powder or colour on the pimples or they'll attract attention.
- A trick to not get lipstick on your teeth: After you apply lipstick, put your index finger in your mouth and pull it out with your lips around it, forming an "O" shape. This helps to take away any lipstick that has gone into your mouth, which could get on your teeth, and doing this doesn't affect the lipstick on the outside.
- Smelling good is priority and there's an easy way to do it. Always wear perfume at your nerve points. the lower you wear your perfume (cleavage, ribs and knees), the more people will be able to smell it. Also did you know that Perfumes should always be stored upside down? That's what Pros from Paris suggest.
- To detangle wet hair, apply an anti-tangling serum and comb out with a wide-toothed comb when partially dry. Even when hair is dry, always comb it before brushing.
- Pour a little nail polish remover in your favorite nail polish to make it last a bit longer. Shake it, and then use it in the same way you normally would. Though this makes the shade of the color to lighten up ta bit, it still leaves the the polish thick enough to give you a good coat
- For a face that's not so stunning, get an eyebrow makeover from a pro. A smarter shaped eyebrow can make all the difference to your face.
- You should always keep all of your makeup pencils sharp. This not only makes them make them easier to apply but also ensures that they are clean for use. Another trick to help make sharpening of make-up pencils easy is to put them in to the fridge for around 10 minutes.
- If you have a short neck don't go near blouses with Chinese collars. Instead, try clothes with deep necklines and accessorize with long necklaces.
- The best time to shop for shoes is usually at the end of the day when your feet are large (having their worst case scenario?). The first shoe you try on should be for your larger foot, which for most people, is the one opposite to the hand they write with. Walk with your shoes on to check if they are snug an comfy. If not, try the next pair.
for the makeup:
ReplyDeleteInstead of doing the black eyeliner all around, you can tone it down and use brown eyeliner and then I know this is weird, but the color of hair you have, copper or blue eyeshadow would look great! You R not really doing anything with your lips so maybe you can put a little gloss, but only a little...
for the hair:
ReplyDeleteSide bangs you can make it a little less choppy and then straighten your bangs out after you have cut them. For the actual hair, you can either grow it out and then straighten it, or what I think would look really pretty is grow it out and then do locks for love and get a style that looks really cute
